Grace

Posted on Saturday 5 February 2011

Grace forgives, enabling restoration.  Grace shares resources to meet needs.  Grace patiently mentors.  Grace listens, understands, and loves.  Grace goes into danger first.  Grace sees potential rather than problems

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Old Rugged Cross

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

The Faith of a Canaanite Woman

Posted on Wednesday 12 January 2011

Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sideon. A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!” My daughter is demon possessed and suffering terribly.

Jesus did not answer a word.  So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel”.

The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”

“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Lord, I offer You my life.

Posted on Sunday 2 January 2011

All that I am, all that I have
I lay them down before you O Lord
All my regrets, all my acclaim
The joy and the pain, I’m making them yours

Chorus:
Lord I offer my life to You
Everything I’ve been through
Use it for your glory
Lord I offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord I offer You my life

Things in the past, things yet unseen
Wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
All of my hopes, all of my plans
My heart and my hands are lifted to You.
