Day 44: Psalm 146

Posted on Friday 7 May 2010

I’ve claimed the power of this verse, and with all my heart and hands, I praise God from the liberating truth in it. It is foolish to think that man can and God cannot. Because it is blatant that God can and man cannot.

This journey of transition is going to be long and painful. But testing develops perseverance which will finish its work so that I may mature and complete. Who said faith stretching is easy anyway?

Prayer: Lord I bless my enemy or the people that is against me. Vindicate me. I thank You that You’ve kept me from evil. Help me to remember and claim Your promises and remember that the sun will soon be shining. I pray that You will bless me indeed. Enlarge my territories. Be with me and continue to keep me from evil. Help me to remember that my hope is in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob - the Creator of Heaven and earth. I claim all of this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 43

“One of the most difficult steps is being willing to wait for God. We become impatient and take matters into our own hands. When you wait not only is your faith tested, but your motives undergo purification as well. It also builds the character quality of maturity.”

So logically, I got deprived.

When Andrew approached me to play for cell I got the shock of my life. But a pleasant shock :P I’m as happy as I’m nervous. Already I’m beginning to make many mistakes but all’s good.

Can’t wait hehehehehe.

Day 39: Psalm 146

Posted on Friday 30 April 2010

Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his god, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them - the Lord, who remains faithful forever.

Day 39: Kutless - What Faith Can Do

Posted on Friday 30 April 2010

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think its more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don’t have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

That’s what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

Day 36: The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Posted on Tuesday 27 April 2010

When the robbers stripped and beat the man who was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, leaving him half dead; they gave nothing for something.

When the priest and the Levite, who went down the same road, saw the man and passed by on the other side; they gave nothing for nothing.

When the inn-keeper  received his two silver coins, and a guaranteed reimbursement of any extra expenses - took care of the man; he gave something for something.

When the Good Samaritan saw him, took pity on him, went to him, bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine, put the man on his own donkey, took him to the inn and took care of him, paid two silver coins and will reimburse extra expenses; he gave something for nothing.
