God’s works in God’s way for God’s glory. Why burn for anything else?

Gospel Coalition Blog.

I miss the adrenaline rush I get to pioneer something, to lead in cell, chair a service or brainstorm what else I can share in offertory. I miss waking up over Rev. Thiam Choy’s call every Monday morning pretending I wasn’t half asleep. I miss going to practice on Saturday and Sunday after an afternoon long meeting after fetching random pastors every week in the world’s furthest airport. I miss making sure cells are in place and needing to distinguish between an advisor and ten facilitators. I miss feeling that I haz it.
I miss feeling like I can do anything. I can do all things.
“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart”
David, a psalmist, a man after God’s own heart.
“Are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak”
JESUS
“Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
JESUS

Because he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promises of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God and is fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He promised. (Romans 4:20-21)
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? (v24)

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. (v25)
Cinderella had always believed in doing good. Regardless of oppressions and blatant abuse. She refused to give in. She refused to give up. When all hopes seemed lost, fairy godmother came to save the day and fulfilled her heart’s desire. Peace never lasts long when stepmom had to break that glass slipper, her then only hope as a bride fit for a prince. But little did stepmommy knew, Cinderella had the other pair of slipper. In favour and blessings, Cinderella lived happily, ever, after?

We, likewise should always delight in the LORD and His ways. To persevere in faith, so that we may be mature and complete - not lacking anything. When all hopes seems lost and we undignified ourselves, it is there God is mighty to save. He added unto us what we’ve asked. He makes our joy complete! Though the enemy is prowling, seeking for someone to devour, our God has promised to keep us safe and unharmed. For greater is He, the one who is in you, than the one who is in the world. Then of course, we will for real, for real, live happily ever after =)
